The Inner Temple: A Men's Circle — Our Relationship to Fatherhood
Knotty House · Richmond, TX
Most men don't have a place to set down what they're carrying. A circle is that place. The Inner Temple is a men's circle — in person, here in Houston. Men sit together, get seen for what they bring, and tell the truth about their lives while other men witness instead of fix. Breath and presence are part of it; advice and posturing are not. The men who sit here become Kinsmen — chosen brothers. Men becoming Kin. This first gathering lands on Father's Day weekend, and that's the theme: our relationship to fatherhood — the fathers we had, the fathers we are or aren't, and what each of us does with it. Wide enough for every man. The dad. The man estranged from his father. The man grieving him. The man still deciding what kind of man he wants to be. What the night holds: grounding, a round where each man shares his gifts, guided somatic work on the theme, and small-group Council where every man gets time in the seat and the rest offer curious questions — no advice, no judgment. We close together. Plan for about three hours. Who it's for: any man, any experience level. No membership required. Come as you are. The details: Friday, June 19 · 6:00 PM · Knotty House, Houston By donation — $10 suggested, never required. No man is turned away. Seats are limited to 12. The exact address is sent when you RSVP. If there's a man in your life who'd never sign up himself but needs this — bring him, or send him this page. This is peer support and brotherhood, not therapy or a substitute for it. If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), available 24/7.
